White Cane Day

Blind and visually impaired people in many countries use the familiar white

cane with a red band at the bottom. Lions Clubs promote increased awareness of this "symbol of independence" during White Cane days held each year.

On these days, White Cane pins are given to the public as a symbolic reminder

of the White Canes that the visually impaired use to be mobile in public.

Funds raised during White Cane days are used directly to provide services.
